Wethers make great pets for families, serve as companions for other goats, or serve for brush removal. Every year we have wethers looking for new homes. In order to keep workload manageable on our farm we prefer to sell wethers as bottle babies and encourage early pickup through price discounts. Castration of the goat is recommended no earlier than 10 weeks. It will be the responsibility of the buyer to have the goat castrated.
Picked up by 2 weeks of age $25 per animal
Picked up by 3 weeks of age $50 per animal
Picked up after 4 weeks of age $75 per animal
To be placed on our reservation list is FREE.
The buyer has two weeks from birth to decide to execute their reservation by submitting a Non- Refundable, $50 deposit to reserve the animal until pick up. Deposits can be transferred to a different animal of choice on the sales page in the same year. If a deposit is not received the animal will be made available to others. The buyer can decide to keep their name on the reservation list for future years.
We reserve the right to retain animals from any breeding or turn down any sale if we do not feel the home is fit.
Full payment can be paid prior to pick up or at pick up time. It can be paid in either cash, PayPal, Venmo, or check. If you choose to pay with a check, that payment must be made at least two weeks prior to your picking the animal up.
All animals leaving the farm will be vaccinated for CD&T at 8 weeks (if not placed in new home prior). All goats will be disbudded and tattooed. Tattoos will be used to track the animal for DATCP requirements.
No animals will leave the premise if their health is questioned. Once the animal leaves the premise and is under the care of the buyer, New Leaf is no longer responsible for the health of the animal. No goats will be sold as singles unless the buyer already has other goats for companionship.
In the unlikely event that your selected goat(s) should die or become ill while still in the possession and care of New Leaf; at the buyer’s option, the goat(s) will be replaced with one of equal value as soon as one becomes available, or a full refund of all money paid will be given.
New Leaf is not responsible for acclimation of your goat(s) in your home or any other place (Other animals not getting along with the goat(s), not being zoned for goats, etc.)
If you are purchasing a Registered New Leaf Nigerian Dwarf, we always reserve first right of refusal if you sell that animal in the future. It is improper etiquette to sell an animal without first contacting their breeder.
New Leaf will work with transporters; however, it is the responsibility of the buyer to arrange and pay for transportation of the animal(s).
